As an Italian, Silvia grew up surrounded by art and has always been fascinated by it, in particular interactive installations and immersive experiences.
Her career started in a small and ambitious design studio in Italy, where her clients were art publications and established art galleries. She then made the move to the advertising agency world in London, first at iris, and later joining the global activation boutique MullenLowe Open, where her focus became CRM, Shopper and Experiential.
As Head of Design at MullenLowe Open, Silvia has been instrumental in pitch wins and helped shaping and establishing the agency as one with strong design credentials. Here she built her design department from the ground up. As soon as she came on board she set the bar high showing dedication, care and attention to details in everything she does. Leading by example and believing in nurturing each member of her team, she created a revered team of knowledgeable, ambitious and trustworthy individuals with diverse skillsets.
She is currently Head of Activation Design at integrated agency MullenLowe London, overseeing a variety of clients as well as rolling her sleeves up and being a hands on designer.
True to her roots, Silvia still scours the art scene and global design shows for inspiration, bringing this encyclopedic knowledge to her work. She also believes the best work is born out of the close collaboration of strategy, design and creative to best understand the client’s need and to give the customer the best possible experience.
Silvia strongly believes in the need for a greater representation of women in the creative departments. She mentors younger female designers and is actively involved with a number of industry bodies aimed at improving the diversity of the industry.
