The wide spectrum of specialisms within Graphic Design is what has encapsulated my creativity with the freedom to experiment and investigate a broad range of materials and design methods. It is through the means of experimentation and exploration into the processes of design that I attempt to push the boundaries, encouraging the question of what we may perceive Graphic Design to be.
I am interested in the relationships created through design, where we are able to impact upon the experience between the user and a subject through the careful consideration of designed outcomes, utilising appropriate materials that engage with the subject at hand to communicate visually to a wide audience. The enthusiasm for exploring new processes has largely influenced my practise, encouraging the use of materials that are less commonly utilised within Graphic Design and shaping the direction of multiple projects.
With an interest in publication design, and the freedom to experiment with layouts, grid systems, typography and paper stocks, I am able to utilise my knowledge of design processes to engage further with the application of new materials, having considered the subject that is being discussed to achieve a strong relationship between the subject and the designed outcome.
