Hi there! My name is Daina Curci.

I have been working professionally as a photographer for the past 3 years, in this time I have graduated with a Diploma in Photo Imaging, started my own freelance photography business, working predominantly as a Event, Wedding & Production Still Photographer, and had the pleasure of experiencing some wonderful events and people, from my photography.

I have been apart of two exhibitions to showcase my work, I have won a few competitions for my photography, one being the Leica 50/50 competition placing as second runner up, and then the Canon Light Awards 2015, placing first in the street photography segment.

I have had the pleasure of working with some reputable companies and names such as White Rabbit Projects, Fresh Catering, Navarra Venues, The Leukaemia Foundation, and Canon Australia to name a few. I have also been lucky enough to photograph some famous faces such as Malcolm Turnbull, Tony Abott, (whether you like them or not), His Eminence Archbishop Stylianos Harkianakis Primate of the Greek Orthodox Church in Australia, just to name a few.

Currently I am a 1 in 12 finalist (out of hundreds of submissions Australia wide) for the grand finale of the Canon Light Awards, to win a trip to Namibia on a photography safari.

I have had the pleasure of assisting such photographers of a high calibre like Andreas Smetana & Gary Shepard.

Next year as a personal project, I am embarking on a self funded, photography expedition for one year around the world to photograph lifestyles in different cultures. I plan to make a book with my images when I return.
