Renato has been working for 20 years building brands connecting purpose, business and communications.
In 2013 he joined Natura &Co (“The best beauty group FOR the world” that includes the brands: Natura, The Body Shop, Aesop and Avon), although falling in love with the brand many years before.
His background is on branding, creative direction, architecture, design, communications and marketing.
Prior to Natura &Co, Renato had the opportunity to work and build amazing brands such as Itaú, Coca Cola and Procter & Gamble. All of them, together with his studies and practices, shaped and enabled his strategic thinking combined with his creative vision oriented towards business growth results and brand equity.
During his career, his quest has always been purpose, meaning, intention, consistency and relevance. That’s why when he joined Natura &Co, he felt at home being one of their agents of change carrying their purpose “we’re united by a better way of living and doing business, through positive social, economic and environmental impact”
Renato is currently Global Head of Branding and Creative Direction in Natura &Co, being responsible for building, strengthening and reflecting Natura and Natura &Co’s brand image and brand experience through storytelling, brand expression and creatively directing our brands with consistency and relevance pursuing the best of Natura´s essence and brand positioning through positive impact.
He collaborates with articles for Meio & Mensagem (a marketing and communication content platform) on branding, communication and purpose. In addition, he teaches Branding and Brand Experience at ESPM, Insper and European Design Institute in São Paulo as a visiting professor and is a former Effie Awards member Jury.
In 2019, 2020 and 2021, Natura was triple-awarded with the “company of the year” in branding at Brasil Design Awards with several projects Renato led inside the company with his teams and creative partners.
Since 2020, Renato is also council member of BCMA (Branded Content Marketing Association)
For him, being a member of D&AD Impact and Future Impact allows the possibility to drive change together with other amazing creative people around the world. A true honor.
