Ray Winkler is a UK registered architect. He is the CEO and design director of STUFISH Entertainment Architects.

Ray has devoted more than twenty years to designing live touring shows, theatrical projects and spectacular one-off productions such as the London 2012 Handover at the Beijing 2008 Olympics Closing Ceremony, as well as live TV shows for MTV, VH1 and other TV channels in the USA and the UK. He has worked with some of the biggest names in popular entertainment, including U2, The Rolling Stones, Robbie Williams, and Cirque du Soleil. He has also worked extensively in Japan for artists such as: Mr Children, Ai, Yumi Matsutoya, Bz, Universal Studios Japan, Himuro and more recently, Arashi. Ray’s intimate knowledge of the UAE is based on his experience of having lived and worked there off and on. UAE projects include FIFA Club world Cup Opening & Closing ceremony Abu Dhabi 2009, UAE 4th Anniversary Show Abu Dhabi 2012, Qasr al Hosn-Story of a Fort Abu Dhabi 2013 and Qasr al Hosn master planning competition 2015.

Ray also designed the recently opened Andy Lau My Love tour, Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour and the Rolling Stones’ No Filter Tour. Other examples of his work are the AC/DC Rock or Bust tour, Robbie Williams Swing Both Ways tour, Helene Fischer’s Farbenspiel & Spürst Du Das tours, Arashi tour, One Direction 2014 world tour, Dragon Quest Live.

Ray is drawn to the unique ephemeral and transformative nature of entertainment architecture.
