David Kohn

David is the founder and director of David Kohn Architects. He established the practice in 2007 to pursue his interest in a broad approach to the discipline that would combine practice-based and academic research with live projects.
From 1997 to 2007 David worked in several leading architecture practices gaining considerable experience in delivering award-winning projects. From 2003 to 2013 David taught at the Cass in London. He is currently a visiting professor at KULeuven in Belgium.
David graduated from Jesus College, University of Cambridge in 1997 following a year as a Fulbright Scholar at Columbia University, New York. He qualified as an architect in 2000. In 2014 he was selected for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Programme.
At DKA, David oversees the design of all projects and sets the direction of the business. Alongside practice and teaching, he regularly gives talks on architecture and contributes to journals both in the UK and abroad.
