Bill McNamara is a leading VFX professional with over 25 years experience.
He is globally renowned for his professionalism and remarkable finesse across his body of work. Bill’s knowledge of camera formats and lenses is unrivalled and Directors and DOP’s have come to rely on his creative and technical expertise on set.
Bill joined MPC in August 2004 as Senior Visual Effects Supervisor. He has led a number of high-profile projects including Jonathan Glazer’s ‘Ice Skating Priests’ for Stella Artois, the international ‘adidas F50 – Gimme the Ball’ campaign directed by Fredrik Bond and Nicolas Fulsig’s UK football related hit Carling ‘Race.’
Bill’s work on Avios, ‘Anything Can Fly’ collected a Silver British Arrow in 2012 for Best VFX and he received a D&AD special effects nomination for his work on the Invensys beer commercial in 2000.
Bill has a cluttered awards cabinet spanning his career which includes accolades for his work as an editor and on campaigns for Coca-Cola, Westpac and music promos for Depeche Mode and Crowded House.
Cutting his teeth in Auckland, New Zealand, Bill moved to the UK in 1997 where he worked at Rushes Post Production as Director of Visual Effects before moving on to MPC
