Jianping He

Born in China, in 1973, and now lives in Berlin, he works as a graphic designer and independent publisher. He studied graphic design at China Academy of Art (1991-1994), Meisterschule of Fine Arts at Berlin University of Arts (1997-2001) and obtained his doctorate in cultural history at Free University of Berlin in 2011. He once taught at Berlin University of Arts, China Academy of Arts, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His works have been globally awarded. The recognitions he has received including Gold Prize at International Poster Biennial in Warsaw, Gold Prize of German Design Award, Gold Prize of Joseph Binder Award, Grand Prix of Red Dot Design Award, Yellow Pencil of D&AD Award and others. In 2006, he was awarded the Poster Art Yard in Rüttenscheid Prize in Essen, Germany. His solo exhibitions have taken place in China mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Germany, Japan, Slovenia, Poland, Iran, Malaysia, etc. In 2021, his book "daydream" has been published and the same name exhibition has been held at the V&A Museum in Shenzhen, China.
