GARY ROLF
- ART DIRECTOR
- United Arab Emirates
I’m an art based creative who loves big ideas that actually make a difference. With 18 years of industry experience, I am a strong conceptual thinker and problem solver. I’ve always loved that feeling of generating a thought and making something great, based on a genuine human truth. I offer a wide variety of skills from conceptual brand platform thinking to campaign ideas as well as visual execution. I’m hands on and am able to design on my own, as well as work with designers, editors and animators to make the project as visually impactful as possible.
During my career, I’ve worked with some big clients and my highlights include, building the world’s smallest IKEA store, as well as creating the sleepiest print ad ever made also for IKEA. I helped turn 42,000 labourers into Cricket Stars with Sprite. I invented an app to bring my beloved Nan back into the conversation after a decade of being unable to hear. I was part of the team that gave a voice to the ones that go unheard with Al Jazeera English News. I helped show people that you can’t put a price on water with Arwa and designed a print campaign to show that the Volkswagen Beetle and Fender sound system were made for each other.
