Gregory Hergott is a graphic designer with three years experience currently based in Toronto. In 2016, he graduated with honours in the Graphic Design program at Conestoga College. He has worked with numerous Canadian musical artists including The Beaches, Jann Arden, New City, and Johnny Orlando to name a few. After graduating from Conestoga College, he resided in Toronto, where he became an intern at Underline Studio. Afterwards he worked full-time at Universal Music Canada as one of their lead in-house designers. He currently works as a graphic designer at lg2 Toronto as a part of the design & branding team. His inspiration and strive for design can be summed up by a quote from one of Mark Rothko’s assistants, Dan Rice:
“It is the grind against oneself that makes an artist, not talent and all that. It’s the internal vision of what is possible to be achieved and the unwillingness to settle for less. To get it right just once…knowing you never will.”
When not designing, he enjoys tensing during horror films, overspending on fashion, watching drag queens lip-sync for their life, diving into the depths of Spotify, and has a deep love for tacos and margaritas.
