Described by Advertising Age as one of the most influential people in the communications business, Tham Khai Meng is Worldwide CCO of Ogilvy & Mather. In 2012 he made history at Ogilvy by leading the agency to win Network of the Year at Cannes for the first time in its history. And then repeated the achievement in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Khai started out in London at Leo Burnett and joined Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific in 2000 as Regional CD and Co-Chairman. While there, he was named Campaign Brief Asia’s “Creative Director of the Year” for seven straight years. In 2008 he was inducted into the Campaign Brief Hall of Fame.
After a lifetime of fighting fires in the creative department and elsewhere he now lives—appropriately enough—in a converted 19th c. firehouse in New York City.
An interesting example, he admits, of taking your work home with you.
