Morgane Polanksi was born and raised in Paris, she moved to London at 17 to study Drama and went on to do a BA in Acting for Stage and Screen at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
She has featured in films such The Ghost Writer, The Pianist and The Wife but more recently, she is known for playing the role of Gisela, Princess of France in the renown show Vikings.
She’s also followed in her father’s footsteps and directed her first shorts ‘The Understudy’ and followed by ‘The Stroke’. Both of which, were well received on the film festival circuit. It was then that she got more directorial opportunities, shooting for the likes of Love Magazine and Dior, in collaboration with ‘Citizen K’. Morgane also continues her acting and recently performed in her idol Wes Anderson’s new film, along with a BFI film called ‘Looted’ and a Film 4 commissioned short. Morgane co-owns a production company called Stroke Productions.
