Kate sees her role as setting the standard and striving for excellence in modern fine book production, working with designers and bookbinders to push the boundaries, using innovative design and cutting-edge production technology.
Kate is passionate about embracing and supporting traditional bookbinding and craft techniques.
Folio books have won many design awards.
In December 2021, Folio became an Employee Ownership Trust, giving employees 100% ownership of the company. The move to an EOT reflects the values of Folio and is a trailblazing example of progressive sharing of power and profit in publishing.
