Federico Gaggio is a widely awarded creative leader with strong track record of building global media brands. With a background in philosophy, graphic design and film-making, Federico worked with creative agencies in Europe and the US (Englih+Pockett, Razorfish…). In 2007 he joined Discovery Communications as VP Brand and ECD, responsible for 24 channel brands and multiple marketing teams across Europe. He created and led for 9 years the award-winning in-house agency Discovery Creative London.
Now an independent consultant, he works with leaders to better define core purpose, ensuring it is translated effectively through all areas of the organisation’s activity: brand and content, products and services, marketing, customer experience, talent, culture and structure. Forging multi-disciplinary collaborations, he helps build successful brands through strategy, creative leadership, storytelling and design — articulating the brand vision, aligning the organisation around it, and overseeing world-class executions that grow audience, brand equity and revenue.
Recent clients include the BBC, SKY, Eurosport and Discovery. He is currently working with Pentagram, leading brand transformation for a public media company in the middle east, and he is helping envision and launch an innovative global media startup.
Awarded multiple industry recognitions (Cannes Lions, D&AD, Broadcast Awards, Promax and more). He was named one of the top 50 Creative Leaders in the UK by Creative Review in 2016, and is an alumnus at the Berlin School of Creative Leadership.
