Dean has over a decade of commercial and brand experience in photography and retouching production. His career started in publishing in the mid 90s, working on big name titles such as Elle, FHM, Grazia and POP as retouching production manager. Over time he discovered that retouching projects were slowly turning towards the photographer which provided an opportunity for the development of in-house photography studios.
After many successful years of e-commerce photography, the chance to move into advertising production arose. Overseeing all studio direction, production, photography and client services at Tag Worldwide, the client base was completely different and found himself working with many of the world’s most creative ad agencies: CHI, M&C Saatchi, Ogilvy, GTB & Havas as well as leading brands such as P&G, Google & Canon. The work changed from fast paced ecom style to a much more creatively led, considered style where quality was paramount and Tag’s global reach led to shoots all over the World, using a crew of house talent as well as talented freelance photographers such as Sean De Sparengo, Joanna Parkin, Louisa Parry, The Rhodes and many more.
Two years ago, Dean became a founding member of Curious Productions, which has enabled him to build a photographic and motion production company working with Ford, Rolls Royce, Eon & 3M as well as creative agencies like 101, Red Brick Road & GTB.
