I started Turner Duckworth in 1992 with my friend and fellow designer David Turner. We have studios in London and San Francisco. We are both designers and responsible for driving design excellence within Turner Duckworth, strategic leadership for clients and leadership in the design community at large. We have taken our business from start up to sale and lead its future with backing of a larger global organisation.
I’ve been responsible, with my partner David Turner and our team, for work that’s won most of the world’s top brand identity and packaging design awards including D&AD yellow pencils, the first ever Cannes Grand Prix for Design, and the first design company to have our work inducted into the CLIO Awards Hall of Fame. Even won a Grammy for our design work for the rock band Metallica.
I have judged most of the best known international design awards including, Foreman of judges at D&AD and President of the Cannes Lions design jury.
I'm now D&AD President. I have been on the executive committee and management board of D&AD (2009-12), a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and an honorary fellow of Falmouth University.
I’ve spoken at many design and marketing events giving keynotes at Cannes Lions this year and also in Mumbai, Seoul, Chicago, Brussels, Barcelona, Luxemburg, Frankfurt, London and Cheltenham, amongst others.
I have been an external assessor for Falmouth University, the industry liaison panel at Norwich University and guest lecturer at many universities.
