Yehrin Tong is a London based illustrator, born in the UK and of Korean descent. She studied graphic design at Central Saint Martins in London, where she received her BA Honors.
Her work is a detailed and hypnotic exploration into mathematical, abstract pattern and optical illusions. Her designs have encompassed book covers, ad campaigns, as well as graphics for fashion prints and embroideries.
She works across a broad range of mediums from print, CG and digital, to motion and physical installations.
She won the V&A Book Cover Illustration Award 2019 and Books Are My Bag Award 2019 for the Virago Modern Classics 40th Anniversary Series.
Her cover for Michel Faber’s Some Rain Must Fall was a winner of AIGA’s 50 Books | 50 Covers of 2016 and her cover for Michel Faber’s The Book of Strange New Things also won the V&A Book Cover Illustration Award in 2015
