Juan Cárdenas is a creative who has worked for some of the most important agencies in his native Colombia such as Leo Burnett, Wunderman, Euro and Ogilvy & Mather, Bogotá. In 2016, he moved to Ogilvy & Mather Peru to take up the role of Executive Creative Director, where he worked for over a year. He returned to Colombia in 2017 to work for DDB as an Integrated Creative Director, later being promoted to General Creative Director.
During his career he has headed important local and multinational brands including Bimbo, Mapfre, Kimberly Clark, Pizza Hut, Burger King, Allianz, Ecofill, Crisol, Gobierno del Perú, Corpbanca, Kia, Carulla, Unilever, Peugeot, Telmex, Movistar, Coomeva, BMW, Citibank, Colfondos, Saha, Fundación Telefónica, Microsoft, Diageo and BBVA.
He and the creative teams he has led have been awarded at Cannes Lions, Clio, One Show, D&AD, LIA, WPPED Cream, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, El Sol de Iberoamérica, FIAP, Effie Colombia and LatAm, el Festival de Antigua, Amauta, El Dorado and Nova Festival. His projects have also been published on some of the world’s biggest creativity blogs.
In addition, Juan has served as a judge and speaker at various Latin American festivals and taught at several universities.
