Despite taking my A levels in Maths, Economics and Physics, and much to my dad's concern, I went on to take a degree in graphic design in Newcastle. Leaving behind my beloved Yorkshire roots I then spent the next 30yrs scribbling and directing around the UK & Australia, working in London, Leeds, Manchester, Melbourne and now my current workplace back again in Manchester which I love.
I feel privileged to have worked at some of the top design agencies in the UK including Conrans, Michael Peters, Williams and Phoa, Elmwood and The Chase (twice ranked no.1 in Design Weeks UK creative league table) and to have worked for a refreshingly varied selection of clients including Nike, the BBC, M&S, Royal Mail Stamps, The FA, The Design Council, and a hairdressers in Blackpool.
A passionate believer that designers should not be divided into those that are ideas based and those that favour style with the best results always being a combination of the two I am proud to have won over 100 national and international design awards and equally chuffed to have passed my level 1 FA coaching badge I feel very lucky being able to do a job I thoroughly enjoy.
