Born and raised in rural Yorkshire to a hard working ex-farmer turned bus driver, and a loving receptionist, it took me a long time to come across advertising as a profession. Upon discovering the advertising course at the University of Central Lancashire, I applied immediately and knew after the first project that I'd found something I had a real passion for, creating work that challenged peoples perceptions.
It took me until my final year to even decide in what role I wished to pursue, but really there was only ever one answer. Words come naturally to me, and a real joy is felt when you are writing something truly emotive or inspiring, or even downright ridiculous.
University has ended, but my education as a copywriter and a creative has only just begun.
