Robin Shenfield is the co-founder and Group CEO of The Mill, a digital visual effects company that is widely recognized for its contribution to some of the most awarded advertising produced over the last two decades. Robin was fortunate to be around for the pioneering early days of VFX, joining Virgin-owned Rushes in the late 1980’s then leading the team that created one of the first all-digital effects companies in the world, opening in 1990 with, Robin recalls, ‘millions of pounds of largely unproven technology into the teeth of an advertising recession’. Then, as now, The Mill’s biggest asset was a talented team of artists, technologists, producers and supporters. Currently, that team numbers 650 working across studios in London, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago.
Outside of The Mill, Robin is a director of the advertising awards body, The British Arrows, a member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) and a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts.
