Nicolas Roope

Nicolas has always looked beyond industry rhetoric to the inspiring truths of networked media and design, this passion driving his career in the business spanning the last eighteen years.

Nicolas founded Antirom, Poke, Hulger, Plumen and The Lovie Awards, all companies of note and all influential and innovative in their respective fields. These endeavours have each been recognised by international industry awards and critical acclaim.

He was included in the 2011 Adage Creative 50 and UK Wired 100 in 2011 as well as inducted into the first twenty figures of the inaugural BIMA Hall Of Fame in 2012. He also sits on the UK Superbrands Council and judges and chairs international design and digital awards worldwide.

Nicolas joined the Tech City Advisory board to the UK Government in 2012, attending regular meetings at Number 10.

He jointly founded BL-NK, a multidisciplinary event space in Hackney and is board member of the Design Special Interest Group to the Technology Strategy Board of the UK Government.
