Geertje Debets is a Dutch Graphic Designer – Artist, working in the Netherlands and London, United Kingdom.
Graduated with merit from Art Academy Minerva in the Netherlands and with distinction from the MA Graphic Design at the University of the Arts London, her self-initiated projects have been nominated for several prices.
She became a Finalist at the European Design Awards 2015 with her latest project 'Dutch – Russian: A Vocalic Communication System'. This project aims to stimulate the communication between The Netherlands and Russia, and was dedicated to the 298 victims of flight MH17.
Besides working as a graphic artist she works as a graphic designer at HTA Design LLP. She got her experience from several freelance and work activities at leading design studios in the Netherlands and in London. (e.g. dn&co., Pentagram in London and Autobahn, Silo Design in the Netherlands).
