Tom has worked in a range of positions at The National Archives, The Houses of Parliament and now the Science Museum Group and TEDx. Prior to this he was a history teacher. At the Science Museum Group he is responsible for developing, and delivering the Learning strategy across the four national museums of the Group, to inspire current and future generations about science and technology. He is also an experienced TEDx organiser. Tom founded TEDxHousesofParliament in 2012 and since 2015 has been the director of TEDxLondon. He was named by Eventbrite in the top 100 'Movers and Shakers in UK event industry' in 2016. Tom is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and has experience as a trustee for two national organisations (RAF Museum and Culture 24). He is currently advising Westminster Abbey, Villiers Park Education Trust and Dundee University on public engagement and education.
