I'm Len, about to graduate with a first in Illustration from Norwich University of the Arts. Wow, I hope that doesn't sound too braggy. I make cut-out collage and put together things out of paper, and that work tends towards narratives and recirculating unusual stories to create dialogues.
Often I work with scientific and medical research themes - and I'm fascinated by space and astronomy, plus fantastic narratives like Coraline. Other than that, I like libraries, biscuits and helping out with Forest Schools - an outdoor learning program where the emphasis is on practical skills, teamwork, making and building, connecting to nature, and lifelong learning on the part of both staff and students. I'm continually inspired by the imaginative solutions forest schoolers come up with to their self-set challenges.
Check out my work as part of Neil Gaiman's project with BlackBerry: A Calendar of Tales (acalendaroftales.com).
I was one of the runners-up for the August Tale. So exciting! If you like, read about it here (http://www.theguardian.com/blackberry-keep-moving/interactive/how-neil-gaiman-created-a-calendar-of-tales).
