Matthias is a manager in the creative industry who believes in the power of communication. Currently, he is Chief Creative Officer at HEIMAT, Berlin and a partner at TBWA\ Group Germany.
At HEIMAT, Berlin he has successfully led a strategy centered on holistic brand thinking. He has fostered an agency culture that brings people together across disciplines – from social media to technology to design. The result has been a standout digital product that earned HEIMAT, Berlin its first-ever number-one spot in German creative rankings. Matthias implementation of new approaches to producing digital campaign assets also led to HEIMAT, Berlin becoming the first advertising agency to be ranked among the top 5 most creative production companies in 2018.
Prior to his roles at HEIMAT and TBWA\ Matthias successfully led Ogilvy & Mather, Frankfurt as Managing Director. Matthias’s work has ranged from international brands such as Boston Consulting, Asics, Audi, Coca-Cola, Hornbach, Ikea, IWC, McDonald’s and Pampers, to local organisations such as Free Democrats, Jewish Council, Das Handwerk.
