Graphic Design and Illustration at Liverpool School of Art & Design is a diverse graphic arts degree course covering graphic design, illustration, motion graphics, interactive design, printmaking, photography, bookmaking and animation.
The course has a tradition of delivering an interdisciplinary yet specialist curriculum.
The course is built upon a culture that encourages craft-based approaches to flourish side-by- side with the demands of emerging technology.
Crossover between specialist areas is encouraged, as the staff team firmly believe in a philosophy of artists and designers employing the media most suited to a particular task.
Graphic design and illustration is a studio based activity and as such we place great emphasis on the importance of a studio culture in which students
engage with their studies on-site and develop a meaningful, on-going dialogue with tutors about their work and their progress.
The course prides itself on creating independent and creative thinkers who go on to make significant impact within the creative industries.
