8 Award Winning Ad Campaigns with Heart

We wanted to share our favourite creative work that celebrates not just romantic love, but love in all shapes and forms. From conservation Kama Sutra to sexually suggestive stationery, we’ve dived head over heels into the D&AD Archive to give you the best campaigns with heart.

Love Has No Labels

AdCouncil highlight the implicit bias of cultural stereotypes, instantly exposing and shattering them in a simple and powerful outdoor activation.

Endangered Love

To engage young people with conservation issues, DDB New York created illustrations of endangered animals procreating for the continuation of the species. “The only thing going extinct is the missionary position”.

Anagram Lovers

In an advert for Scrabble, Mattel reinvent the classic tale of boy meets girl. In an exercise in sheer copywriting genius, the story is told entirely through anagrams showing that “there’s magic in words”.

Sexy Times

In an ode to things more carnal, Tiger Brands narrate the grotesque copulation of household pests. A slightly more unconventional love story, this is Radio advertising at its finest.

Agency: TBWA/Hunt/Lascaris Johannesburg

This is Wholesome

IKEA Valentine's Day

In celebration of romance, IKEA’s tongue-in-cheek Press Ad entitled couples to a free cot if their baby was born exactly 9 months after Valentine’s Day.

Coco de Mer

Known for being unabashedly provocative, Coco De Mer ensure their personality and voice extends throughout every element of their brand. Peddlers and purveyors of all things erotic, it makes sense then, that even their stationary should include a range of simple yet brilliant, sexually suggestive envelopes.

Award: Wood Pencil / Graphic Design / Stationery / 2009
Agency: David & Goliath
Client: Coco de Mer

Tango Valentine's Mailer

Tango take advantage of Valentine's Day to create a Direct Mailer that allows couples to track the success of their evening via their handy tablecloth chart.
