D&AD New Blood Shift: Meet Juan

I am a visual artist from Caracas, Venezuela - now based out of Brooklyn.

I enjoy a lot of small things and pleasures in life, I think we’re able to look at the bigger picture sometimes when we pay attentions to the little ones as well. Creating and sharing with people at all times is a must. Collective work really gets my ideas flowing, sometimes it just takes a different perspective to figure things out and understand them. My sense of curiosity is endless so I’m always discovering and asking questions because I believe it's important to try to relate in as many aspects of life as possible.

I attended art school the Art Institute of Miami, taking part of their illustration and design program. I have worked and assisted many artist in many different mediums, from painting to 3D modeling, to a decent amount of carpentry. Sometimes it feels like I’ve done it all, but I know that's not true, there's too much to learn and explore.

I am searching for opportunities and a placement in the creative industry that will let me crate and be part of projects that I am proud of, projects that spark curiosity, trick the eye and question human behavior- hopefully helping to change the world for the better.
