New Blood Shift London: Meet the class of 2018

made possible by PwC

D&AD New Blood Shift is a free, industry-led night school for non-traditionally trained talent, made possible by PwC.

Through a free 12-week night school run by the best in the business, chosen participants will get up to speed on what it means to be an advertising creative. With mentorship and paid placement opportunities up for grabs.

Here Lauren Pleydell-Pearce, Executive Creative Director at PwC, talks about their role in the programme and the benefits of supporting untapped raw talent.

Meet Reuben. He took part in our London 2018 Shift programme — a free industry led night school for non-traditional, non-university trained talent.

We followed his story.

“A lot of [Advertising] is really complicated at the beginning, even when you research things online you never really get it, it’s only when D&AD took us to all these different places and agencies that I started to get it.”

Meet Iman. She took part in our London 2018 Shift programme — a free industry led night school for non-traditional, non-university trained talent.

We followed her story. “It wasn’t all about the job placements or internships, it was about finding that understanding. D&AD filled in those blanks.”

Meet Jessie. She took part in our London 2018 Shift programme — a free industry led night school for non-traditional, non-university trained talent.

We followed her story. “After dropping out of uni, I was just working and feeling really stuck.”
