In 2019, Grammy-award winning artist Bon Iver released his new album I,I, born from a spirit of collaboration. Inspired, Spotify created an interactive experience called The Visualizer, made entirely out of the letter i. The experience uses data to show how the album is listened to around the world. To do this, Spotify’s creative team made a purpose-built engine that allowed them to take any image or video and instantly transform it into is. Users immersed themselves in it, each experiencing it in their own way. The experience lives on as the album’s collaborative spirit grows, one i at a time.
