Over the Christmas break 2017 we began to think: what if we started a project that reacted in real time to events around us? What if we decided what was interesting on any one day, designed something to match, and pushed it out into the world through social media? In early January, the project began. We chose a straightforward name, yet one seemingly unused by others: Picture The News, and for the rest of the year averaged 5 a week. The project can be tracked under the hashtag #PictureTheNews, and was archived in the form of a book and a set of twelve posters.
