KFC was once the number one chicken restaurant in the United States. But after a decade of declining sales, stores were closing and the brand was no longer on top. To turn things around, it focused on the things that made it special, including founder, Colonel Sanders. On TV, a rotating cast of celebrities portrayed the Colonel, while a year-round stream of non-traditional stunts and executions helped keep the brand in the news.
