To mark national liberation celebrations. Dutch telecoms giant KPN launched Evert_45 – World War II stories retold for the digital age. Teenager Evert posted on social media about everyday things, but in actual fact, he was a virtual character experiencing the trauma of the war. Teachers used his story in their classes, resulting in young people voluntarily viewing history lessons on YouTube and Instagram.
