Unfettered Ink is a compilation of essays across 30 years by Nanyang-style watercolour artist Chen Chong Swee. Underscoring his artwork as a visual extension of his literary depth, the book features slivers of art progressively printed on the edge of each page. When the reader presses to flip the book, the artwork becomes visible, suggesting the close relationship between his art and his written thoughts. The book is available in English and Chinese allowing for a second piece of his art to be printed on the overside.
