Adapted from a poem, I wanted to find a balance between the visual and the meanings explored in text. Talking about America, I wanted to stay away from the cliches and approach it from a foreign perspective. I appreciate the heavy handedness of classical music, but we remixed it in a way that feels more relevant. The aim of the cinematography was to create something cold, timeless, and sleek.
