NoMore.org asked us to shine a national spotlight on the serious and all too common issues of domestic violence and sexual assault. By bringing a chilling real 9-1-1 call to life in which a woman is forced to mask her cry for help by pretending to order a pizza, we were able to show how isolating and terrifying it is to be a victim of domestic violence. We also demonstrated that by listening for the signs, we all have the tools to help those who need it most. And it worked. The spot sparked a national conversation and calls to local and national domestic violence hotlines spiked drastically.
