To re-encourage people to celebrate Christmas with their loved ones, EDEKA confronted them with the harsh reality: many people spend Christmas alone!
Hence, we developed the integrated campaign #heimkommen (coming home). Heart of the campaign was a film about a lonely grandpa that fakes his death, believing this is the only way to reunite his family. The film was launched online, on German television and in cinemas. We initiated an international debate about Christmas and family across all channels. People all over the world shared their family reunions on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
