Google Made with Code

Award: Wood Pencil

Wood Pencil / White Pencil - Creativity for Good / Advertising & Marketing Communications - Brand / 2015

Although technology continues to become an increasingly important aspect of all our lives, women still aren't adequately represented in the companies and boardrooms that make technology happen. When Google asked Red & Co to inspire a million girls to code, they launched a mobile-first platform to capture girls' imaginations with a curriculum of 13 creative coding projects. The aim was to show young girls that coding is connected to the things they love: music, fashion and art. Along with the coding platform, twelve documentaries built role models, and an anthem film showcased the potential of code to tutors and students alike.
