We live in a fame-obsessed culture where people are motivated to action based on the notoriety and external validation that might result. To globally relaunch one of Adidas Originals' most iconic sneakers, the Superstar, Johannes Leonardo wanted to remind the world of the shoe's essence by inspiring people to redefine 'superstar' and give rise to a new generation not swayed by the opinions of others. The campaign launched with a 90-second spot starring David Beckham, Damian Lillard, Pharrell Williams and Rita Ora. The film attacked the current notion of superstardom, with each celebrity making a defiant statement about their perceived motivations.
