We wanted to re-energise the Nike Air Max franchise, putting it at the centre of conversations in style conscious communities. To do this, AKQA created Nike PHOTOiD – an addictively fun and intuitive app that allows sneaker addicts and Instagram fans to turn their shoes into bespoke designs. Nike PHOTOiD combines the customer’s love of exclusive products and photo sharing in a fresh and exciting way. Smart algorithms analysed users’ Instagrams and applied colours to the shoe, customising it completely. The ‘Share & Purchase’ function also enables users’ Instagram moments to live on through social media and the real world.
