‘House of Illustrious’ contains the entire recorded works of the Illustrious Company over the ten years of its existence in a limited, numbered edition. Ten CDs are bookended by clear acrylic discs, connected by a steel spindle etched with ‘Made in Sheffield’. The CD stack is presented in a laser- etched, high-density foam housing. A separate information and authentication sheet, signed by Illustrious Company’s founders Martyn Ware and Vincent Clarke, carries details of the origins of the works. The sheet’s minimal typographic design ensures the focus remains on the physicality of the CDs and their housing.
