Our sound design was created to reflect the abject horror of war as our hero remembers his own experience. The sound design is intended to grow into something unlistenable, something you want to hear ending. Instead of using huge war sounds and explosions, we decided to concentrate on the detail of the smaller, unexpected sounds that are associated with battle and conflict. Soldiers often reference the finer details of sound when remembering a trauma. The final mix solidly conveys the idea of a horrific experience played out from the memory of our hero.
