The Village Voice newspaper asked us to prove its position as the real, uncensored voice of New York, and re-establish the brand as a go-to source of arts and culture. The solution was to bring real stories of New Yorkers to lifeas arts and culture. We began by creating NewYorkWrites Itself.com – a simple destination inviting New Yorkers to write down the funny, weird or crazy things they experience everyday on the street. In 2012, we brought the best stories to life on stage, in a first of its kind crowd sourced show called ‘8 Million Protagonists’.
