Various Artists is a design agency that was set up in April 2011. We needed a holding page for our website, but as all our work was under copyright with previous agencies we couldn’t show any of it. Instead, we chose one simple message – working with Various Artists will make you happy – and made it as engaging as possible. The words ‘this’ and ‘that’ all linked to well-known, humorous or just plain crazy clips from YouTube that illustrated moments of complete joy or pure pain. To keep things fresh, the background colour changes periodically while you are on the site.
