The Code
Graphite Pencil / Radio Advertising / Radio Advertising over 30 seconds / 2012
In Colombia, some policemen and soldiers have been held captive by guerillas for years with limited exposure to the news. To help the Military Forces of Colombia speak directly to their men, we created a song to be aired on the radio. The chorus included a tapping sound, which was a hidden Morse code message to boost morale. The voice of the Military Forces of Colombia broke enemy lines, and reached its men to give them strength and hope. This work was also selected in the ‘Sound Design & Use of Music for Radio Advertising’ category.
