GBH designed six stamps and a miniature sheet to celebrate Gerry Anderson’s pioneering Supermarionation work. The stamps featured iconic scenes and characters within white borders evoking a TV screen, with programme logotypes laid across the bottom of the frame like film titles. The miniature sheet used micro-lenticular print technology to recreate the famous Thunderbirds launch sequence. The history of Gerry Anderson’s work featured in the presentation pack, which included an informative interview with Anderson. The first day cover filler card summarised the six shows on the stamps.
