The objective was to demonstrate how the Cape Times reports on world events from every angle in order to deliver balanced and unbiased information. Cape Times readers possess above-average general knowledge, and are well educated and discerning when it comes to news. The solution was to show a well-known news story from a less well-known perspective. There’s always another side to every story and this ad demonstrates that in a simple, engaging way. ‘Shoe’ shows how it must have felt to be on the receiving end of Iraqi journalist Muntadhar Al-Zeidi’s shoe.
