These posters promoted an exhibition of classic Dutch advertising held by ReclameArsenaal, a foundation curating the Netherlands advertising heritage. How do you capture the rich history of Dutch advertising in a single uniform campaign? With this challenge in mind, we developed a concept that became a tribute to advertising classics in Dutch history. The campaign we developed addressed the collective memory of a nation, taking you back to the time when, for instance, women still sat on the hoods of cars. The art direction was inspired by traditional cultural museum posters, creating a healthy mix between advertising and art. Because advertising is worth exhibiting!
