Republique is a theatre that challenges creative boundaries. The theatre is more than its repertoire, and the repertoire more than a collection of performances. The task was to create a simple yet visually powerful poster concept, expressing both the vision of the theatre and the individual performance, plus attracting attention on the street. The circle is placed in the exact same place and at the exact size on all posters. This ensures recognition, while allowing changes in artistic expression from season to season. Copenhagen’s copper roofs inspired the corporate colour. Fluorescent orange was used for the season 02 posters, to create a powerful, visual synergy between image and performance posters.
